The Phoenix metropolitan area is not a good place for a NHL team, maybe a AHL or ECHL team, but not a NHL team a city like Seattle or Quebec City should so that the league can re-enter these excellent city possibilities.

No, Arizona is a growing hockey market. Plus, they really havent gotten much to cheer for there, they need more time.

It won't happen. Bettman loves them there too much.

I agree. John should move the Arizona Coyotes to a more suitable location for an NHL team. Great feedback/suggestion to improve the website or his content!

They're actually going to be moving closer to their fanbase which is in the Scottsdale/Mesa/Tempe/Phoenix area as opposed to Glendale. I live in AZ and just about everyone I know won't go to a Coyotes game because of how far away it is. Coupled with the road systems in Arizona it's currently about a 30-45 minute drive at best from Phoenix to the arena during the week. If you're in Tempe or Scottsdale you're looking at about an hour and a half or more.

No because hockey is growing in Phoenix.

The Coyotes have recently announced their intention to build an arena on the campus of Arizona State (who just launched a men's hockey team and will play in a 4,000 seat arena attached to the arena). I've been to the arena and while it is a nice arena, the location isn't conductive to a healthy market. Coupled with some rising stars having connections to Arizona (see Couturier, Tkachuk, and Matthews), and the future is bright in the valley.
